A 57-year-old woman from Parklands woke up early this morning when two armed men “jumped on top of her bed,” whilst shining a torch in her eyes. The men had entered the house by forcing a lounge window open.

According to Table View police spokesperson Captain Adriana Chandler the men were armed with a knife and a screwdriver. They instructed the woman to keep quiet and tied her hands and feet. They also covered her mouth with tape. After helping themselves to jewellery, personal items and household goods the men left the house.

The woman managed to untie herself and summoned Table View Police. According to her description one of the men was wearing a grey tracksuit top and beanie whilst the other one was wearing a blue jersey.
