Table View police have once again urged people to keep their windows closed and to install and activate an alarm system that is linked to a security company. The warning comes after an early morning robbery in Parklands in which burglars gained access to a house through an open bathroom window.
Three men wearing balaclavas
According to Table View police spokesperson Captain Adriana Chandler a homeowner in Stepney Road in Parklands was woken up shortly after midnight when three men, who are described as wearing balaclavas, gloves and dark clothing, switched on his bedroom light. One of the men was armed with a knife.
The men used shoelaces to tie the homeowner’s hands. One of the burglars stood guard over him while the other two searched through the house for valuables. When they had finished selecting their loot they switched off the light of the bedroom and closed the door. The burglars left the house through a sliding door. Two of the burglars are described as being tall, and one as being short.
