Atlantis – Six women (17-49) were arrested on Friday 18 November after unlicensed firearms and ammunition were found in the ceiling of a house in Duif steeg in Robinvale.

Members of the Atlantis Crime Prevention Unit searched the house after receiving a tip-off. They found a .38 Torres revolver and a 9 mm Torres pistol, 1 x 7.65 mm magazine, 10 x .38 live rounds and 23 x 9 mm short live rounds. The women were arrested for illegal possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition. They appeared in the Atlantis magistrate’s court on
21 November.
