Uniformed Men Kidnap Bloubergstrand Man

Five official-looking men kidnapped a Bloubergstrand man last week. The events unfolded after the men knocked on  the front door of a house in Coral Road around 8:00, Wednesday evening.

According to police spokesperson Captain Adriana Chandler two of the five men wore bullet proof vests, while the others wore either army- or navy uniforms. The men said that they wanted interview the male occupant of the house. They proceeded to separate the couple, and the man tried to escape by jumping out of the window.

The suspects caught up with him and forced him into his BMW. They sped away from the scene in their vehicle, as well as the one belonging to the victim. The victim was driven to Gugulethu, and released there. He proceeded to walk to the police station in order to report the incident.

No one was injured during the incident and no arrests have been made.  Table View police are investigating a case of house robbery and kidnapping.
