Table View police warns of an increase in the reporting of thefts. Police spokesperson Captain Adriana Chandler says that “most theft cases reported indicated that people are being targeted at shopping malls, where cellular telephones are snatched from a handbag left unzipped or open, back pockets, or left unattended on a counter.”

Thieves also target restaurants and pubs, where personal items such as handbags and cellular telephones are left unattended on a table or on the ground.
