It was inventive in a rather potty way… According to the South African Police Service a truck transporting toilet paper to Namibia was used to smuggle nearly R400 000 of dagga from South Africa. The truck did not manage to cross the border. It was stopped at the Nakop border post where police searched the toolboxes and found 78 kg of dagga stashed inside. The dagga was confiscated together with the truck and a cellphone.

Imagine for 1 minute if Cannabis was legal, apart from all the medicinal benefits and the fact that it is a natural, safe and non-addictive high, imagine the money that could be collected legally from taxes of a highly sought after product. Imagine too the benefits to a country struggling with a massive part of it’s population extremely poor and unable to afford decent health care, when a simple plant can be grown for personal use which can benefit many many illnesses.
