A two-day long police operation has netted quite a few bad apples in Darling. The operation focused on property, contact and liquor related crimes. According to police spokesperson Constable Debbie Alard the operation brought in a heady haul:
A 54-year-old woman was arrested for dealing in liquor without a license. 161 litres of alcohol were confiscated from the premises at 7th Avenue in Darling.
The owner of a shebeen at Eikeboom in Darling was also arrested for dealing in liquor without a valid license; in this case 167.5 litres of alcohol were confiscated.
A further eight people were arrested for drinking in public and four people were arrested for possession of tik. A further two people were arrested for vandalism, trespassing and intimidation.
The suspects will appeared in the Malmesbury magistrate’s court on said charges tomorrow.
