A R10 000 reward is being offered for information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of vandals in Melkbosstrand.
The most recent property to have been defaced in town is that of Rawson Properties. The vandals also defaced a wall belonging to Klein Melkbos complex, a boundary wall near the coast road town entrance and bus stops in Otto du Plessis and Duynefontein.
In a statement released yesterday the Melkbosstrand Ratepayers Association says, “In an effort to apprehend graffiti offenders and reduce the recent presence of unsightly and crude graffiti the Melkbosstrand Ratepayers Association is working in partnership with local real estate company REMAX Property Centre, Councillor Nora Grose, the South African Police, Melkbos and Table View Neighbourhood Watches, Community Police Forum and Law Enforcement by offering a ten thousand rand reward to members of the public with any information on graffiti vandals that will lead to their arrest and conviction.”
Table View Community Police Forum announced earlier yesterday that “graffiti vandals are active in our precinct, particularly along Blouberg Road and the R27. More than 50 tags causing thousands of rands worth of damage have been removed by TVCPF at a significant cost.”
