A case of murder is being investigated.

Table View police are investigating a case of murder after the body of a 27-year-old man was found in Site 5 informal settlement in Table View on Saturday morning.

According to the spokesperson for Table View police, Captain Adriana Chandler, police responded to a report of a murder in progress around 11 am.  A member of the community accompanied the police to the scene.  Upon their arrival police found “the body of a male person lying on the ground with multiple injuries to his body.  Approximately 50 community members surrounded the male victim.” According to Captain Chandler, “No one wanted to answer any questions by the SAPS members.” Medical personnel were summoned to the scene but the man had succumbed to his injuries.
