A team under the command of Major General Aneeqah Jordaan arrested 458 suspects between 24 November and 26 November. The arrests included one for murder and three for attempted murder. They also included a case that was rather strange.
On 25 November Table View Police responded to a complaint of a housebreaking that was said to be in progress in North Road in Table View. On their arrival they found a destitute child who said he was waiting for someone. The officers went to the house where the boy said the person he was waiting for stays. It was also the address given for the housebreaking in progress. A 27-year-old man was found inside the house. He was in possession of a stolen firearm, drugs and ammunition. He resides at the address. The suspect was arrested and appeared in the Cape Town Magistrate Court on Monday.

• 3 x possession of illegal firearms
• 13 x driving under the influence of alcohol
• A total of 120 fines were issued
• 20 x dangerous weapons were confiscated
• 2 illegal firearms recovered
• 511 002.5 ml of alcohol were confiscated
• 13 Warrants of arrests were executed
