Melkies, wrap your trees in pink; it’s for a good cause. The annual wrapping of trees has started. Trees are wrapped in pink from 1 September up to 31 October in order to raise awareness of cancer, as well as money to combat it. The organisation Pink Trees for Pauline started the project as it believes that pink is the “expression of new life.”

The money raised from fabric bought from stockists of the Pink Trees for Pauline fabric will be donated. The fabric costs R30 per metre. It can be bought in lengths of 1-50 metres from Rawson Properties.  Last year Melkbosstrand donated R47 652.10 to St Lukes Hospice West Coast and the Pink Trees for Pauline Organisation.

The fabric is available from Rawson Properties in 6th Avenue, Melkbosstrand.
