Klipheuwel Road Accident

10 People were injured Thursday morning when a bakkie and a SUV collided on the Klipheuwel Road in Durbanville, causing the bakkie to roll down the hill.

According to ER24 spokesman Russel Meiring “the bakkie had rolled down the hill, ejecting the patients off the back of the vehicle.” No-one from the SUV sustained any injuries.

When paramedics arrived on the scene they found the SUV and the bakkie at some distance of each other. The SUV was parked on the side of the road, while the bakkie was some distance away, at the bottom of the hill. Several people were sitting around the bakkie.

Ten people sustained injuries in the collision; these ranged from minor to moderate. The patients were treated on the scene and transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment.
