Any golfer who was still planning to buy a ticket for the Melkbos Neighbourhood Watch’s annual golf day fundraiser on 3 March had better think again. The field is full. But don’t mope. The fundraiser, which includes a dinner and auction, is going to benefit the whole town.
The money raised will go towards the installation and maintenance of cameras with automatic number plate recognition software. A target of R100 000 has been set. And looking at the items that will be on auction, this ought to be reached easily.
A sneak peek at some of the items on auction:
A signed limited edition print by the ‘prince of Neo Pop,’ Richard Scott; a Harley Davidson motorbike (it will have a reserve price); a valuable watch from Engelbrecht Jewelers; a 12 month sponsorship from Avenue Response; a rather unique golf bag from Bogie Golf and some super hair products from Hair Poetry.
Businesses wanting to promote themselves at the event can contact Geoff Hodges on membership@melkbosstrand.net. Contact Geoff also about tickets for dinner.
