From Vredenburg to T’View

Vredenburg detectives made a curious discovery yesterday. They were trying to trace a man suspected of committing armed robbery last year. At about 06:30 the detectives approached a house in Oxford Road in Vredenburg, “and was again informed by an occupant of the house that the person they are looking for is not staying at that address.” After searching the house they found the man hiding inside the fridge. The 29-year-old was arrested and appeared in the Vredenburg Magistrate’s court yesterday.

The body of a man was found in Table View yesterday. According to police spokesperson Captain Adriana Chandler Table View police found the man lying on his back in Echium Road.  There were no visible signs of injury. Ambulance services were summoned to the scene. They declared the man dead on the scene.
The body was taken to Salt River mortuary where an autopsy will be done to determine the cause of death. An inquest docket was registered at Table View Police Station.
