Police_badgeWolwerivier: According to the head of the Philadelphia police, Captain Frederick Rossouw, a man (who is described as being older than 18) died on Sunday night as a result of being stabbed in Wolwerivier. The stabbing took place recently. The victim and his assaillant had apparently been quarrelling.

According to Captain Rossouw the man was taken to Groote Schuur and put on life support, but this was turned off on Sunday Night.

Melkbosstrand: Two incidents of card theft took place last week at the ATM machines at the Birkenhead Shopping Center, reports the Melkbosstrand Community Police Forum (CPF). A man and woman were seen in the vicinity at the time of the incidents. The CPF urges the public to only accept assistance from bank personnel and to leave the area if they feel uncomfortable.

During the same week two incidents of theft from cars in the parking area of the Palm Center were reported. The CPF urges the public to make sure that their cars are locked. After reading the CPF’s report several people reported locking their cars, only to find them unlocked on their return.
