Armed robbers arrested in Atlantis
Three suspects were arrested shortly after robbing a man at gunpoint in Atlantis. According to Captain Chandler the victim was walking home shortly before midnight on 18 January, when he was surrounded by robbers. The men pointed a firearm at him and took his cellphone and cash, before running away.
A member of the public called the police and the suspects were arrested shortly thereafter. Unfortunately neither the man’s stolen property nor the robbers’ firearm were recovered.

Police found the suspect, but by that time he had gotten rid of the weapon. It was found covered in a scarf that the suspect had been seen wearing earlier, in a nearby field. Tests confirmed that the weapon had been stolen in Riversdale in May, 2009.
