There were temptations galore at yesterday’s West Coast Craft Market at the Country Club in Melkbosstrand. Crafters displayed their handmade ware proudly. On offer was anything from clothes and jewellery and food to dolls. Said two ladies exhibiting their first range of handmade toys, “It was so much fun to make it.”
The range included anything from toy mice that had been stuffed with lavender to stuffed dolls and an alien-type doll that appeals to boys. Nearby beckoned minerals and across the aisle was a display of handmade pottery that had come all the way from Table View.
Mr South Africa finalist JP Robberts popped in to say hallo and the belly dance troupe Children of Isis’ performance provided an exotic touch to the market. Watching over the bustle was the smiling organiser of the market Estelle Hinkley with her granddaughter Ava de Lange.
