Saldanha beauty Chanté Green was crowned Little Miss Globe 2016 in Bodrum, Turkey, on Saturday night. The 12-year-old also won the Miss Sympathy title at the World League of Beauty and Fashion (WLBF). She thanked ‘auntie’ Carolyn Baldwin Botha, the powerful model head and pageant owner from Johannesburg for believing in her, as well as ‘uncle’ Ashot Khachatryan, the president of the WLBF.

The week in Turkey along with other young contestants seem to have matured her, as the beautiful photos show. Chanté looks like a glamorous young adult on the photos.

The crowing took place in the Isis Hotel in Bodrun.

Saturday night was the climax of a week of photo shoots and sightseeing. Getting to Turkey was not easy for Chanté. Her parents Chanel and Garry Green had to ask the public for assistance in raising the necessary money.

to go, and Garry told Melkbos.net that it was a “matter of prayer.” It appeared ironical that she had to struggle, since she is actively involved in raising money for charity through her own “Handjie Projek.”

Chanté attends Saldanha Primary. She took part in her first pageant last year.
