Port Elizabeth – Police are investigating a case of theft after Buddy the penguin disappeared from Bayworld.

Trainers noticed Buddy’s disappearance yesterday as they went about doing medical check-ups on the animals in the marine park. CCTV footage showed two unknown people on the premises.

Anyone who knows where Buddy is being kept or who can assist in tracing him is asked to contact SAPS Humewood on 041 5045019 or Bayworld on 041 5840650 or email trainers@bayworld.co.za. Buddy has been micro-chipped and tagged.
