Ready, steady, go! The Battle up Blaauwberg Hill Trail Run is upon us. The run takes place on Sunday 4 September and runners are urged to pre-register since entries are limited to 600.
Participants can choose to run either the scenic 14 km or
8 km route through the Blaauwberg Nature Reserve. The routes run over Bloubergkoppie and Kleinberg, and through the colourful spring vegetation in the nature reserve. It’s a run with views of ocean and mountain, and it draws runners from all over Cape Town. There will only be one water point, and participants are urged to bring along a water bottle.
Visit the West Coast Athletics Club website for all the details. Download the registration form here: http://blaauwberghilltrail.co.za/. Participants can register using the form on the website and payment can be made via electronic transfer. The entry fee is R160 for the 14 km trail and R80 for the 8 km trail. The proceeds of the race will go towards promoting the conservation of the reserve.
