Two suspected car thieves, aged 34 and 54 respectively, were arrested in Table View yesterday. The men will appear in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.

Shortly after 15:00 yesterday members of Table View Police received information about a suspicious vehicle in Athens Road.  According to police spokesperson Captain Adriana Chandler, “The members approached the vehicle with caution and found two male occupants inside.  The registration number was tested and it was confirmed that the registration number did not fit the make of the vehicle.

The members further tested the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) and confirmed that it was as a stolen vehicle, which were taken in Strand in January 2017.”
