Milnerton Fleamarket went gaga over Sirius the dog yesterday. The exuberant cross-breed Bouvier from Rosebank won the hearts of amongst others well-known Cape Town antique dealer Bruce Tait, who quipped, “Isn’t it dreadful when your dog gets more attention than you?”

Sirius’s owner refers to him as “Sirius the dog star.” Sirius’s father, a Bouvier, was fierce in comparison with him. He probably inherited his playful disposition from his mom, who was a cross-breed spaniel.

“Are there plans in the offing for Sirius the dog star to become a media star?” Melkbos.net asked. “He is probably too exuberant,” his owner laughed.
